Posted by tmz_99 on May 22nd, 2005 filed in UncategorizedOK, in Bangkok safe and sound, the keyboards are funny @ the netcafres.. but, the food is great and plentiful, from chicken steaks for 8baht from street vendors to restaurants where it costs $15 to get a great meal.. 🙂 It’s all here.. 🙂
I managed to utilise a num,ber of different transports today, from the airport I caught a taxi, I got ripped 100 baht, but let it slide, then I got a motorcycle taxi to the main mall (World Trade Centre), it weas a wild ride, it seem that road rules ro stop lights do not apply to these individuals! 😮 anyway, for 120 baht it was still a rip conpared to the skytrain (same journey cost me 35, or $1). So skytrain from now on it is for me! 😀
My hotel is cool, I got the deluxe room, so for an extra $5 a night I get a window!! haha!!! Overall it’s not too bad, has al the basic ameneties and I took my screwdriver with me to hide my extra cash INSIDE the appliances… apperantly the best way to stop your stuff from being looted 🙂
Oh, and I got some KFC today, hot and spicy really IS hot and spicy over here!! (and small 😐 )
The traffic is bad-ass… the drivers are all crazy and theres more luxury cars then in Perth! 🙂
I met some other people from Melbourne today, and they were pretty friendly, and I’m picking up the thai language, altho they seem to understand the basic chineese Nicole taught me, as well as English and a little from my Thai phrasebook! 😀 Anyway, I’m off to dance and explore this amazing city at night!!
