Has it been a week already.. ??
Posted by tmz_99 on August 2nd, 2006 filed in UncategorizedYeah, I think it has been, I have been a combination of slack and demoralised. For about the whole of last week I rented an Alfa 147 to stave the rain away, and in the meantime decided t was a good time to drop the bike in for a partial re-spray. Come Friday, when it was time to pick it up, a clip had broken on the faring and it didn’t sit straight. So the painter held it back for another day in order to plastic-weld it. The next day, glue had been spilt over the faring and he decided a full re-spray was in order, come back Monday…. Then on Monday, it was Tuesday, the saving grace being that the seat that I took it to get re-upholstered was also taking an extra day.
For that time, I was the only person I know of, who owns two cars AND a bike and still has to catch rides with mates/public transport. 🙁
On Tuesday arvo, it all came toghether, and this is the result: (the seat is inspired by the Japanese rising sun flag)
A quick summary of what else happened over the weekend and what not:
Friday: Friday night was Cindy’s “I’ve got a job and going away in the near future” party. It was full of blokes, luckily I knew a few of them, and the others were nice guys, so what could have been put down as a sausage fest was quite enjoyable. I drank 2 bottles of wine, 3 cans of Pulse and a around 4 glasses of jacks and coke/ribena (the coke ran out after the 2nd glass)
Saturday: Went to the autosalon in the morning with sister Julia, it was really more of the same; I’m not 100% sure on this but I think the clinical sterility of the Perth Convention Centre sort of took away from the overall supposed edge of autosalon. Of all the places for conventions to be held in Perth, I think the PCC has got the worst vibe. But it’s always great to hang out with my sisters regardless, so no loss.. 🙂
Then went to Nathan’s and Kat’s housewarming BBQ, which was awesome, caught up with many a good friend, played soccer and pissed off the neigbour. Amazing BBQ all round, gotta happen more often. Then 5 of us travelled up north (from Yangimup) to visit my construction site.. The house is darn close to being complete, just needs shower screens (which I’ve started arranging now). Brilliant day overall!
Work Related: I go back to work Tuesday the 8th for 21 days (as in offshore work, not the town work I’ve been doing recently) so that’s brilliant, my body is certainly in need of a detox and daily gym regimen.

No more arguments with messrs Curb and Corner for you, boyo – that’s a great looking paint job. All you need now is the dark setting and Asian background – Lights, camera, action… Oh, and some dark sunnies.
