a happy new year to all! :)

Well, quite a few things have happened – some of them not quite as brilliant as I would have liked but changes are certainly afoot.

I suppose the major change is that my work (or ex-work as is now the case) chose not to re-new my contract. I really don’t want to go into the particulars of this, but it does mean that I am living off savings and will start to look for a new job once the new year hits. I would like to work in the same role as I have just been working, although I am not sure if I should limit myself to work off the Australian coast – I may have to whore myself out overseas.

On the house front the paint is finished and the whole house is yet again covered in painters dust. Due to me being extra apathetic (holiday season anyone?) the house continues being rather dirty.

Considering my primary activity while in the house (playing 360) I finally decided to bite the bullet and got myself a plasma screen. I opted for an older model Phillips with HD capability – I was drawn to Phillips due to the ambilight features on their TV’s. Ambilight basically lights up the wall behind the TV in corresponding colors and intensity to what is on the screen at the time, tricking your brain into believing that the screen is larger then it really is.

By this time tomorrow I’ll be in Sydney with my sister Jo, possibly intoxicated and definitely excited about the new year. I don’t have any resolutions per say, I will do what I do anyways. I do have some wishes however:
– I wish my sisters the best of luck academically in the coming year
– I wish good health and prosperity on all my family and friends
– I wish to find myself as happy in the following year as I have been in the last.

    woah that’s a big change, and over the new year? bit cold.

    Well i am pretty sure you should be able to pick up a new job soon enough 🙂

    hope 2007 is exciting for you.
