On the new position

So I’ve been back at work for a week now in my new position as MATCO.
I guess I switched across because being an R/O wasn’t really as exciting or busy as I’d like to be, and I was looking for a new challenge.
They sent me out to the rig a week early as there was (and to some extent still is) quite the backlog here – the job is both challenging and very much a learning experience. Much as I expected whereas before when I was working as a logistics co-ordinator I learnt all about what makes the drilling operation work now I am learning about what the rig needs to survive. Premium has been treating me well thus far and I can only assume they are quite happy with my work (I know I am). 🙂

The gym has also been good… I often get the guilts about going to bed a little early so yesterday after my gym session (which I extended) I walked up 15 flights of stairs.. I’m going to make this a regular part of my schedule…
