The weekend is here again

The weekend is here, what does a weekend mean to me? Well, out here, it offers temporary reprive from the incessent emails from town, from the states and from Singapore. It offers a time where things can be done without interruption from outside sources. It marks another week that has gone by.
It also means there is fuck all time till I go home!

I watched the wicker man today, a fairly new Nicholas Cage movie. I quite like ol Nick, he certainly picks some interesting roles.
I’m not sure if you know but he was born Nicholas Coppola and changed his name, in order for his success to not be associated with his famous uncle. Personally, I support nepotism, there is nothing wrong but everything right with helping out family.
Anyway, in a stark contrast to this, the movie is all about how family can screw you up, and in this case, kill you. 😛 An amusing plot that becomes somewhat see through about 1/2 way through the movie. Still has its tense moments. 🙂 7/10.

Also saw the Lady in the Water the other day. Quite an awesome movie that verged on the fantasy-feel good genre that so few movies dare to tread. 8/10

Watching Blade Runner today, hope it lives up to all the hype.

Man, I hope I get the silver car back this time home. Otherwise it’ll be hard picking up the missus from the airport.
