The bookworm in me likes to eat pineapples

The cotton wool around my head is almost gone today and I have once again approached clarity. I think the factor that is now holding my mind back is the flu I contracted just before my Singapore trip. I REALLY should go get some medicine for it, but seeing as it’s almost gone I think I can manage without.

I had my 1st day yesterday, which means I skip the gym in case my tiredness results in me dropping a weight on my head and watched more episodes of Heroes. I’m up to episode 18 at the moment and unfortunately, have no more to watch until I get some more or by some miracle someone brings them out to the rig.

I also managed to finish reading “Twilight” by Stephanie Meyer. I have to say initially this book was somewhat repugnant to me because it was from a woman’s point of view – and as I have said before, women are a creature I don’t understand, some of the concepts in the way their mind works only serves to give me a headache. However there were vampires in it and although it has been a while since I read a good vampire novel I was soon hooked. Started on the second book this morning before work.

I am listening to Tyler Hilton at the moment, chilling out and soaking in the steel cocoon that is the rig. I’m thinking of all the things I am missing out being out here for next three weeks, but I’m %100 sure they will be more then made up for in the three weeks I will find myself at home.

So my Sister Jo leaves tomorrow to go prawn trawling again. I really admire her ability to do a job that takes her away from her family and friends for so long. The house will be far more quiet and sad without her. She has hardly left and already I can’t wait for her return in November.
