I’m glad I’m not a soldier

Rather it offers a unique insight to the political and philosophical issues behind choosing to fight, as well as the usuall death and destruction.
If I Die In A Combat Zone by Tim O’Brien is an easy to read account of one soldier’s war.
I wonder if writing a book is like writing a blog, in the fact that it gets a lot of a man’s chest. I wonder why we don’t see many other books about war in that case, one would imagine that there’d be a lot of weight on a lot of chests.
Makes me glad I’m not in a war, not faced with being drafted.
