I’m running low on movies
Posted by tmz_99 on September 3rd, 2005 filed in UncategorizedOK, so to continiue the trend of “what movie did Tom watch today” is Batman Begins.
Probably the best Batman movie since Batman Returns it brings us back to the dark and violent nature of the dark knight, showing a yet again different interpretation of the batman story.
Overall Christian Bale does the role justice, however his interpretation of Bruce Wayne is very close to that of his charachter in Equilibrium. He is perfectly suited for roles such as this, I don’t believe he would do well in many others.
Katie Holmes.. ahhhh, I feel as though she was trying to also play batman, with her wooden acting she could have easily played the emotionaly distant defender of the weak. Instead she just played a weak role. The cinemography of her wasn’t all that good either, it appeared as though her eyes were ready to droop of her face at any moment.
Anyway, good action flick bar Katie. 3.25/5
My other Movie of the day was “Playmate of the Apes”
This porn take off on planet of the apes is completely awesome (ignoring the boring, R rated sex scenes). The costumes are budget, slippers covered in tin foil are used. The crash of the spaceship is accomplished by shaking the camera while naked actresses act like they are swimming underwater.
Anyway, there was apperantly some money spent on the makeup when it came to the apes, some of the costumes look surprisingly good. The humor throughout the movie is also great (monkeys believe humans are inferior becasue they can’t dance, after which all the apes break into dance of course). There is no sex between human and ape, in fact, it’s lesbian throughout. If all the sex scenes were cut out, it would make an awesome B grade classic.. 🙂
